We are expanding again here at Edgewater Park Lodge. Available July 15th (or Earlier Call for availability) are 5 new cabins offering more accommodations to meet the needs of our guests. To preview the Cottage layouts please see “Our Cottages” page for more information. And don’t forget June 2nd is our 1st Anniversary, so if you haven’t stayed with us recently this would be a great time for you to come visit us at the lodge. To help us celebrate our anniversary we have live bands, a community yard sale, free food, and a fireworks show. So mark June 2nd on your calendar and come visit us here at the lodge.

Yes there is still snow for Snowmobiling at the Lodge

The mild winter weather in Southern Ontario has not been very good for the snowmobile trails in the south and northern States in the U.S. but we have lots of the white stuff right here in Kearney. We have reports from the many sledders who have stopped by that the trails are in good condition and we have received even more snow in the past couple days.

So if you haven’t been able to do much riding this season come visit us at Kearney, we have on-site fuel and oil, a great restaurant, newly renovated cottages and motel and as always our friendly staff. What are you waiting for come see us.

The Final Day of the Outdoor Adventure Show

After all this is your last chance to come out and see what is new for 2012 in destinations, gear, and you may even get a to meet some celebrities. We hear Mikey from the “ICE Pilots NWT” show have been spotted in the hall.

With the recent mild spells this winter in Southern Ontario it is hard to not think of planning your next Spring Adventure. For the Mountain bike enthusiasts why pay to bike on trails with the masses when you can start from the Lodge on the multitude of open trails. Kearney also features some of the greatest hiking trails, lakes and streams and all here waiting for you to come and explore. So what are you waiting for come see us at the Lodge!

If you have stayed at Edgewater Park Lodge in the past you need to come visit us again, you will not believe the changes that have taken place. Our Motel has undergone some amazing renovations and all of our Cottages have been renovated to make your next stay with us a great one.

Well the furry weather prognosticators are somewhat mixed in their predictions this year. Here are the results:
Wiarton Willie failed to see his shadow which would predict an early spring
Nova Scotia’s Shubenacadie Sam did not see his shadow which would predict winter is ending soon
Alberta’s Balzac Billy saw his shadow, which means six more weeks of winter
Quebec’s Fred la Marmotte saw his shadow also
Punxsutawney Phil also saw his shadow and is predicting an extended winter

So that is it folks a 60% chance of an extended winter according to the gopher prognosticators. But for now the trails here in Kearney, ON are great!!! The sun is shining and your always welcome to come stop by and see us here at the lodge.
